A visual system was developed for Australia’s first high speed rail line, which will compete against the major Australian domestic airlines.
The visual system was inspired by the feathers of an emu, which gives it a strong Australian connection. The feather design quickly evolved into a more complicated pattern that is made out of the individual barbs from the feathers. The pattern also looks like lots of people travelling back and forth on the train.
